Imagine two characters discussing a controversial topic. (Think: abortion, religion, etc.) How does the conversation go if they’re neighbors who act and think alike? (Do they admit things they wouldn’t in mixed company?) How does the conversation change if the exchange happens in a doctor’s office or similar place by chance, but they have differing views? What happens when the people with differing views discuss the topic at a party or a bar and alcohol is adding fuel to the fire?
