Ahh. Back to school.
Or , is that AHHHHHHHH!! Back to School!
Here’s a short list of horror movies that take place in the unhallowed halls of academe. Sit back and get ready to be terrorized by calamitous children, horrific high schoolers, and crazed coeds.

Slaughter High (1986)
Class reunions can be murder. Literally.

Massacre at Central High (1976)
More bullies. More revenge. More killing.

The Children (1980)
You know how many pollutants are worse for children? This is the extreme version as a toxic cloud turns these little devils too hot to handle and too cold to hold. With glowing green finger tips and a zombie-like drive to reach out and touch someone!

Village of the Damned (1960, 1995)
One meteor + several pregnant ladies = glowing eyed children who have a major problem with group think.

Disturbing Behavior (1998)
Teens are so out of control, we should just experiment on making them do as we say, not as we do. Sure. That’ll work.

The Faculty (1998)
These high school kids have their hands full when aliens arrive a la invasion of the body snatchers to take over their teachers and classmates.

Final Exam (1981)
There’s like this dude, that for no known reason, likes to kill people on college campuses. Oh, and he just arrived during final exams, because, like, so few people are around.

The Prowler (1981)
Lesser-known thriller with a few good chills that takes place during the first spring dance held since a double murder 35 years earlier. The WWII fatigues make for a creepy costume similar to the feel of the miner in My Bloody Valentine.
